Tecapa Chinameca is located on the eastern side of El Salvador. The coffee grown there is surrounded by majestic active volcanos Chaparrastique and Berlin and Laguna de Alegría, a volcanic sulphur lake that is known for its beautiful turquoise color. The rich volcanic soil and natural microclimate are the perfect for growing coffee. They believe the deep chocolate flavor resembles that warmth of the people. The panela or brown sugar flavor comes from all the cane fields welcoming you with open arms to the area. The acidity comes from natures gift of a well-balanced ecosystem. This combination is what makes it pleasing to even the most sophisticated palate. Tecapa Chinameca’s coffee has earned the highest score in El Salvador’s Cup of Excellence with 94 points in 2006 and continues to receive very high scores.
